Pizza and Deadpool

Hey there, World!

Today was quite tiring but fun. My boyfriend suddenly asked me to go to the mall with him and watch a movie with him and his friend. I said sure but since it was sudden I had to get through telling my parents that I'm going somewhere. Well I did tell them and they were fine with it. I'm 20 anyway so they can't do anything when I'm old enough to go somewhere.

The last time I was in a cinema to watch a movie, was when "Harry Potter and the Philsopher's Stone" was showing. Yes, it was way back and I was very young. I cried a lot because I didn't like the loud sounds coming from the cinema speakers.

Anyway, we went to SM Sta. Rosa and went straight ahead to the cinema to get tickets. I didn't bring my ID, if I did then there might be a discount. After getting them, we know that the next one will be at 3:00. It was 2:30 and we decided to eat some pizza first because I was craving it. After ordering our food, it was taking a while for our order to be served. We ordered the meal for two one while my boyfriend's friend ordered the two piece chicken with flavored rice. While waiting, my boyfriend and his friend were talking and I'm just quiet. It's not that I can't relate to what they were talking about, I'm just really don't talk much. It's like I'm the third wheel instead of his friend, but I like to listen anyway. I'm more of a listener than a talker.

Our soup for the meal for two promo was served first, the waitress said that the food was taking a while because something's processing or whatever. I knew that we were late for the first part of the movie but it's fine instead of eating pizza after watching. I was suppose to be back by 5:00 anyway.

After eating, we bought popcorn and went in to the cinema. We were around 30 minutes late but like I said, it was fine. We entered at the part where the main character was telling about his past. All throughout the movie I enjoyed it with all of the fourth-wall breaking and the killings and the funny lines that Deadpool releases. Deadpool was pretty badass and I'm a sucker for characters who have badass fighting styles. Sometimes when I'm watching action, I view it in a gamer's perspective. Like I see HP bars when there's a fight.

There wasn't much special effects because Deadpool's ability is to regenerate. He likes to talk to the audience, hence, he is breaking the fourth wall. There were certain scenes that made me feel a bit uneasy, but at least those scenes aren't too graphical. After the movie it was a quarter to 5:00. Good thing we already ate before watching.

Overall, I had fun. I guess it was a Valentine's treat from my boyfriend, even though that there was someone whose with us. After all that, I felt like wanting to watch the next movie that's gonna show (unless if it's a horror film, then nope).

I hope you enjoyed reading, and I'll write again soon. :)

My Baymax

Hey there, World!

Well it's officially Valentines Day here in the Philippines and probably later, a lot of couples will go out to malls and dates and all those couple stuff. I won't go out with my boyfriend later because it's a Sunday and I have a date with my mother at church.

In my past posts, I always mention my boyfriend and I never even told a single thing about him except that he is an otaku too. I thought that today, if you are interested, I will share to you how me and my boyfriend met and how we got together.

Back then, I never had any interest in boys. All I cared about was games and anime and school. I even told myself that I won't go to our JS Prom because I didn't have any interest at all. That is until I met him.

I was second year high school when I met him. His name is Michael Claudio. I didn't notice him much until that I got in to a game of Grand Chase. I happen to know that he plays too, so asked him where he plays and he just told me that he plays anywhere. I didn't like his answer, but after that short chat I suddenly felt weird.

Everyday in my second year, I notice him a lot. I developed a crush on him after a while. A day before our field trip, our classmates fooled around and they said something about pairing him with someone else. I reacted nothing at first but I eventually cried. I got hurt and I know that they were just joking but it's not funny. On our field trip is when I knew that he had feelings for me too. That's where our classmates teased us and always putting us together like making in our seat plan that we sit next to each other.

In early December, my classmates made him go to my house and he met my mother first. That day was surreal because I couldn't believe that he was at my house talking to my mother and my classmates making noises when he answered my mother's questions. It was like a dream especially when he left he kissed me on the cheek and I was like "what the hell did he do?!"

We were fine after that except we were all shy and stuff. We discovered that we have things in common and actually have a "mental connection." And as time went by we decided to make that day as our anniversary. I call him "Baymax" now because he's tall and has a big belly. It's been six years and we did together a lot of things for the first time, like our first kiss, first fight, first anime event together... and I'm sure there are plenty more. We decided to get married when we both have decent jobs and a house. I remembered when my mother went to a fortune-teller to get her fortune told. The fortune-teller looked at me and said that I'll be unlucky when it comes to love. I didn't believe her, because even if we sometimes cry a lot from the fights, and have some misunderstandings, we won't get separated no matter what.

I hope you enjoyed reading, and I'll write again soon. Happy Valentine's Day! :)

The Five Things You Can Relate If You're A Cat Owner

Hey there, World!

Owning a cat is kinda the same as owning a dog. When you see your pet coming towards you and greet you whenever you come home, it feels like your tiredness and stress just melts away. And the way that they respond to you whenever you talk to them just warms you up. I had my cat, Mimi, when I was 13. She was still small and weak and almost got killed by our dog. So I decided to take care of her and now she has been my pet for seven years, along with her little ones.

So as a cat owner, I experience things with my cats that doesn't just involve claws and bites, but also purrs and rubs. Here are the five things that you can relate if you are a cat owner.

1. Taking their pictures. Of course, if you own a cat you can't help but adore their cuteness and take a lot of pictures. You picture them when they are sleeping, when they are sitting, when they are lying down, and when they tuck in their limbs underneath them.

2. You bother them with your affection. Sometimes when you get bored, and you spot your cat, you can't help but bother them with your love and affection. Sometimes they want to leave because you know, you're bothering them but you keep dragging them back to you to love them more.

3. The random scratches you get from them. If your cats sleep next to you at your bed, you will see a random scratch on your skin when you wake up that you suspect that your cat did it. You probably got your scratches from playing with them or trying to get away from your hands, but it's fine for you anyway.

4. You like to carry them around. Well, we like to carry our pets and raise them up in the air like that one scene from The Lion King. And not only that, you carry them like a baby. Sometimes they will resist, sometimes they will let you, but it feels good to feel their smooth fur on your arms.

5. You love petting them because you love hearing them purr. If the cat is quite malambing, they will purr nonstop once you pet them all over their favorite spots. They will purr so much, it's like a motor and you love hearing it because it means they love what you are doing. In return they will rub themselves against you while purring, and maybe even give you love bites.

If you have a cat and can relate to any of the above, then you love your cats. No matter how much mess they made, or how much destruction they have caused, you love them too much to be mad at them.

I hope you enjoyed reading, and I'll write again soon. :)

Four-Eyes

Hey there, World!

When I was around Grade 6, I knew that something's wrong with my eyes. I had a hard time reading the blackboard whenever the teacher told us to write what's on the board. I had to squint, and stretch the corner of my eyes just to see clearly for a second. There was even a time that my teacher scolded me for failing a quiz. I told her that I couldn't see the blackboard clearly. "Eh di, mag-suot ka ng salamin." (Then wear some glasses.), she snapped at me. I didn't like it when she told me that. That was when I told my mother that I'm having a hard time with my eyesight. She then decided to have my eyes checked.

We went to an eye clinic in a mall. The eye doctor was quite kind when she gave me some tests. When she told my mother the grade of my eyesight, it's a bit high for a 12 year old. I can't remember how high but I know it's high. The doctor then asked me if I want to choose a frame for my glasses. But my mother said that there's no need because the doctor can use her old eyeglass frames. The frames were thin and black but I didn't bother the style because I was too young to think about that.

When I put on my first pair of glasses, my head felt a bit weird, and my eyes were watering a bit. I wasn't used to the sudden clearness of my vision but it felt good to see vividly. After wearing them a lot I got used to them.

The doctor advised us to give me check ups regularly, but with the money we have we couldn't possibly have regular check ups. So when I was around second year high school, I noticed my eyesight getting blurry again. I told my mother about it and we went to the eye doctor again. It's not the same eye doctor this time, and this time, it's a bit cheaper.

We found out that the grade of my eyes got higher. It reached to around a hundred. My mother got worried and she blamed it on me being constantly on the computer almost everyday. I was a bit worried myself but I was fine with it.

This time I got to choose which frame I will wear, so I chose a black rectangular frame, with the lower edge being rimless. The thickness of my glasses were a bit noticable but not much people noticed it. It's good to have new glasses, but I quite have the butter fingers. I keep dropping them which results in the bottom lenses being chipped off.

The break of the glasses was getting a bit worse and noticable. My mother brought me to another check up to the same cheap eye clinic. I got tired of the black glasses so my mother brought some frames. She said she got it from the owner of the school next to our house. It's red and rectangular and the bottom is also rimless. I wasn't that feeling good about the look of my glasses because the left nose bud wasn't positioned right, which makes my glasses look crooked. Also, the thickness of the glasses were getting noticeable. Regardless, I went with it and moved on to my life. But due to my butter fingers again, the bottom of the lenses broke... again.

I thought that next time if I go to the eye doctor, I'd choose full frame glasses so they won't break my lenses. When I was around third year college, I did just that. Me and my mother went to the department store of a mall. I looked at eye frames there and I chose a grayish black rectangular frame. We went to the eye clinic in the same mall and did my check up and gave them the frames. The doctor was quite worried that the frames will break completely but she said that their technician will be careful with it. After a few hours I had my glasses. It's the pair of glasses that I like the most but also quite fragile.

I thought I won't be worrying about broken lenses anymore, but that was replaced with something else. When I was lying on the bed, my head was putting quite pressure on the glasses. That's when the frames broke. I was devastated. It was the day before of our swimming so I was fine with it and left it at home. When I came back it's fixed. My father fixed it for me and I was glad but the left lens has scratches. I wore it anyway.

And then some months later, right frame broke this time. I asked for my father's help to fix it. I thought he'll make it better, but no, he made it worse. The right lenses were too scratched that I could barely see. In the end, I went with the crooked red glasses.

My mother told me that she'll get me better glasses when she gets the money from selling their land. Well, I hope thats true, because I'm thinking of choosing my frames in that eye clinic at the mall.

Having glasses is quite difficult. If you lose them you're doomed until you find them or you get a new pair. I guess I'm regretting a bit of not taking care of my eyes... I feel like everything is limited if I can't see anything clearly. I'm trying to take care of myself so that there won't be anymore problems. And when I get my next check up, I hope my eyesight remained or didn't went up too much. I'm just glad that nobody teased me with me being a four-eyed girl.

I hope you enjoyed reading, and I'll write again soon. :)

Feasibility Defense

Hey there, World!

Today, we had our defense for our feasibility study. Finally, we are going to finish it once and for all. I woke early to read our proposal. It's good to read right after waking up because our minds are refreshed from sleep and you can actually absorb information. As I was reading, I noticed that out projected demand is missing another year. It forcasted years 2015-2019, but our proposal should be 2016-2020. I was a bit worried that our professor will notice it so I took a piece of paper and wrote down my computations for the projected demand. Since we don't have projected supply and projected demand-supply gap, I took the chance to compute those too.

Our prof required us to have nametags so I made one using last year's calendar (it has a card board material on) for reinforcement and a bond paper. For a girl, I don't have the prettiest handwriting, so I just tried my best to write my name. I'm not that great in cutting too, so it looks kinda rushed and awkward.

Hours later, I got ready and went to school. It's suppose to be a holiday because it is "BiƱan Day", but we really need to do this in order to finish our hardships.

While waiting for the defense to start I was reading. Then suddenly, our prof came out to brief us on what to do during the defense. She told us that we each have 5 minutes to discuss about what we know about our proposed business, and should give complete information about it. It will be taken via video because our prof doesn't want to evaluate on our discussion, she wants other people to evaluate it (she said she doesn't want to be subjective). It is not the usual Q&A like a typical defense, it's just a short discussion. The worst part is that it is done individually and I felt halfly nervous about it. Luckily, we were picked as the fifth group to discuss so I was able to practice what to say.

A couple of hours later, it was near our turn. I was still practicing my pitch but I get lost in what to say. And then it was our turn. Individuals shall discuss alphabetically, and to think my name starts with the letter A. But luckily, another one of us has "Ar" as their first couple of letters, and mine starts with "As" so I was second to speak.

But since it is 5 minutes per person, it was my turn already. My heart was racing and my hands were shaking but I kept calm. When the person handling the camera signaled me to start, I began to speak.

To tell you the truth, I think I didn't do well. It felt like I was just rambling and I kept stuttering but not too much. I only managed to consume 4 minutes and I didn't told everything that I wanted to say. It was a bit worrying but after that it felt like some weight was lifted off my shoulders. I felt more at ease, but I shouldn't relax yet because there were consultations after everybody did their pitch.

During the consultation I was worried that our prof will mention about our projected demand, or that there is a lack of projected supply and projected demand-supply gap, but she didn't because she went to our financial study. It seems she was satisfied with the output, though there needs to be some editing and other stuff. She said that she wants a final paper with our completion form (form to complete our subject), and pass it to her.

After that one of my groupmates looked a bit upset and ranted to us something. I couldn't hear what that person said but he left right away. I went outside to wait for my boyfriend to pick me up. I sat next to the guy who was upset. He was talking to his friends but after a few minutes, he told me that we should've worked the financial study together so that we know something about it. He also said that I'm the leader and I should get some cooperation from my group. Well I guess I know why he was upset, it's because when our prof asked something about the financial, he is the only one that could answer. I felt a bit sad because it's true that I barely know anything about the financial study and he was the one that did it. He also complained that if he takes too long, we'd get mad at him, and in my mind I thought, "But, I'm not even mad at you if you take long it's just them." I know how time consuming doing the finances are.

I kept quite after a while and went on. I was about to go home until my friends stopped me so that we could take pictures together. I couldn't resist because it's the memories that count anyway. So we took some photos and chatted for a while until it is time for me to go home.

Slime Rancher: Catching Slimes and Selling Their Poop

Hey there, World!

Slimes. When I hear them, it reminds me of the monster in RPGs. Those gooey, gelatinous creatures that can attack your character when you encounter one. Slimes come in different colors depending on the elemental attributes. They can look scary or ugly and quite hostile. But not all slimes are bad. You can actually keep them in a ranch and adore their cuteness.

Credits to the website of Slime Rancher

Slime Rancher is a single-player PC game that lets you collect slimes, take care of them like feeding them, and then take their poop and sell it. Yes, you need their poop to make a living. The slimes' poop are called plorts. You need plorts to gain money and use the money to have upgrades.

I knew about Slime Rancher from a YouTuber, MattShea. When I first saw it, I automatically thought of the monster from Ragnarok Online, a Poring. I wanted to play it so I asked my boyfriend to download it for me. When he has it in his laptop he went to me and let me play it.

I love the graphics of this game. Quite vivid, even though the setting was on its lowest(because the laptop can't handle high graphics settings, it causes too much lag). The sceneries of the game are so pretty whenever I go to a different area. Though it is said that the game takes place in a different planet, it feels like it's in Earth, except that it has slimes and the chickens, fruits, and veggies are of different species.

You use a contraption called a vacpack to collect slimes, chickens, fruits, veggies and any other items by sucking them all up and store them in the tank. Its quite handy, but you can only hold up to four items and hold up to 20 units per item (unless you upgrade it). So if you encounter an important item but your tank is already full in all slots, you have to sacrifice a least important item to have that important item. It's an opportunity cost, as my professor from Economics would say. Vacpacks can be used to hold objects that are too big like boxes and largo slimes (I'll talk about largo slimes a bit later.)

When you go out of your ranch, the first thing you see are the Pink Slimes. These are the slimes that reminded me of Porings and I was rather cutified by their roundness and bounciness. These are like the starter slimes. I took about five slimes because their corral is still small. These little things can eat anything so you can just throw in any food you have. Once they have eaten, they poop out Pink plorts. Since it's from a starter slime, the value of the Pink plorts is rather small.

The cute Pink Slime

I used the vacpack to collect the plorts and sell them to the Plort Market. It's like a stock market because the value of each type of plort can increase or decrease everyday.

Selling my plorts to the Plort Market

After I sold all of my plorts, I went out to explore further. Then, I discovered the Tabby slime, a gray cat slime with cat ears and a tail. The moment that I saw it, I sucked it up and went out to find more. I collected five and went back to the ranch. I used the money that I got from selling plorts to buy another corral for the Tabby slimes. These slimes can only eat meat so I collected chickens from the outside and fed it to them. They pooped out gray plorts or Tabby plorts. It turns out that they cost more than the Pink ones so I immediately sold them. The Tabby slimes are probably my favorite slimes, cause you know, cats.

A couple of Tabby slimes

There are other more types of slimes to discover, like the rock slime, phosphor slimes (slimes that spawn at night), honey slimes, boom slimes and more. Though some of them can only be seen in a different area that needs to be unlocked. Their plorts have different values, some are more valuable than others.

From what I learned from MattShea, you can have two types of slimes in one by having them eat plorts. I tried combining my Pink slimes and Tabby slimes by feeding my Pink slimes with Tabby plorts. Then, they turned into Pink Tabby Largo slimes. Largo slimes are the combination of two slimes by one slime eating a different slime's plort. They are bigger than normal slimes and you can't put them in the tank of vacpack. Their diet depends on what the two slimes like to eat. For example, one slime likes to eat veggies and the other likes meat, but when they turn to Largo slimes, they like to eat both veggies and meats. When you feed them, they poop out two types of plorts which also depends on which slime ate which slime's plort.

My jumpy Pink Tabby largo slimes

So, I have five slimes poop out two types of plorts. I am probably making lots of money. With the money, I can buy upgrades for the corral and vacpack, and buy more facilities. These upgrades improve the corrals and makes my slimes happy. I can also upgrade my character like increase stamina and HP. I have bought high walls for the corral so that they won't jump out to escape, a plort collector to collect plorts in corrals, and bought a chicken coop to raise chickens and a garden to harvest veggies and fruits. It's kinda like Harvest Moon except you don't need to feed the chickens and water the plants. You can also use the money to expand your ranch to put in more facilities.

Though you need to be careful with largo slimes. If they eat something that they shouldn't be eating, they turn to Tarr. Tarr are black scary slimes that eat other slimes. They can't be kept in ranches because they are bad slimes, and you can only hold them with the vacpack. They also appear at night and normal slimes can turn to Tarr if they are too hungry. You can fight these Tarr by shooting them with water or use the vacpack to shoot them to the ocean.

Tarr
Well, to wrap it all up, Slime Rancher became my current favorite game to play. It's fun and addictive and I could play for hours. I probably left out a lot of info but I recommend you play Slime Rancher to really know the whole gameplay. Though it's still in the beta phase so watch out for any updates.

I hope you enjoyed reading, and I'll write again soon.

I am an Anime Fan

Hey there, World!

When I come home from school or I have nothing to do at my house I have one thing in mind: watch anime. Well, that was years ago, when my laptop was still working and we had internet... but that won't stop me from watching.

I remember when I was a child, I hang around in my brothers' room and watch anime from their small TV. Also, me and my oldest brother would watch One Piece from Youtube. We watched hundreds of episodes from that anime and I enjoyed it.

I can't remember my first anime that I watched... but some of them are Naruto, Dragonball, Yugi-Oh!, Ranma and a Half, Saiiyuki(?), Mirmo de Pon (my favorite childhood anime), and many more to mention. Those were my childhood shows along with American cartoons. I watched them when Animax was just part of a channel called AXN. I remember that whenever that the anime is subbed, I could barely read all of them because I wasn't that good at reading.

As I got older, there came a new channel called "HeroTV" and its a channel that shows anime that are dubbed in Tagalog. That's when I watched more of anime than watching American cartoons. Little that I know that as I got older, I become sort of a "weaboo".

A weaboo is a person that is too much on being an anime fanatic, and will argue with anyone who would insult anime, make fun of them, and claim that anime is a cartoon. I admit that I was a weaboo, but I didn't show it much because I was a shy person and couldn't express myself fully. I am done with my weaboo days, but I still watch anime today every Monday.

I used to watch anime in TV, but ever since I met my significant other, I watch all the new anime in the laptop (because he's the one downloading anime and lets me watch them). And because of him, I started collecting nendoroids, go to anime events, and get anime freebies.

I was happy that I would be able to watch so many anime. This lead me to learn new things (those informative anime) and new values in life. You learn many lessons in anime, like love, friendship, determination, and other good values.

To cut to the chase, I am a fan of anime. It's a part of who I am today because of all the lessons it taught me. Some people might find me weird that I still watch anime at this age, but I don't care. It's my interest so why would they care?

If you find this post rather jumbled, it's because I was sleepy while I typed this. But anyway, I hope you enjoyed reading, and I'll write again soon. :)
