Hey there, World!
When I come home from school or I have nothing to do at my house I have one thing in mind: watch anime. Well, that was years ago, when my laptop was still working and we had internet... but that won't stop me from watching.
I remember when I was a child, I hang around in my brothers' room and watch anime from their small TV. Also, me and my oldest brother would watch One Piece from Youtube. We watched hundreds of episodes from that anime and I enjoyed it.
I can't remember my first anime that I watched... but some of them are Naruto, Dragonball, Yugi-Oh!, Ranma and a Half, Saiiyuki(?), Mirmo de Pon (my favorite childhood anime), and many more to mention. Those were my childhood shows along with American cartoons. I watched them when Animax was just part of a channel called AXN. I remember that whenever that the anime is subbed, I could barely read all of them because I wasn't that good at reading.
As I got older, there came a new channel called "HeroTV" and its a channel that shows anime that are dubbed in Tagalog. That's when I watched more of anime than watching American cartoons. Little that I know that as I got older, I become sort of a "weaboo".
A weaboo is a person that is too much on being an anime fanatic, and will argue with anyone who would insult anime, make fun of them, and claim that anime is a cartoon. I admit that I was a weaboo, but I didn't show it much because I was a shy person and couldn't express myself fully. I am done with my weaboo days, but I still watch anime today every Monday.
I used to watch anime in TV, but ever since I met my significant other, I watch all the new anime in the laptop (because he's the one downloading anime and lets me watch them). And because of him, I started collecting nendoroids, go to anime events, and get anime freebies.
I was happy that I would be able to watch so many anime. This lead me to learn new things (those informative anime) and new values in life. You learn many lessons in anime, like love, friendship, determination, and other good values.
To cut to the chase, I am a fan of anime. It's a part of who I am today because of all the lessons it taught me. Some people might find me weird that I still watch anime at this age, but I don't care. It's my interest so why would they care?
If you find this post rather jumbled, it's because I was sleepy while I typed this. But anyway, I hope you enjoyed reading, and I'll write again soon. :)
